Revisiting YummySoup

Curses to Jennifer, for getting me to subscribe to a couple new food blogs.  What I have been doing when I see a recipe I like is just “Mark Unread” every time I look at it.  But today was a Day of Much Cooking, so I cracked open YummySoup for the first time since I downloaded it.  And then I thought, gosh, wouldn’t it be more sensible to import all the recipes I’ve been thinking about, rather than having them clutter up my feed reader?  (Yes, I am aware I’m obsessed with clutter.)

And it was so easy.  It was a piece of cake to import them all.  And all the real food bloggers on the internet take pictures of their food.  And the pictures look nice.  And YummySoup lets you scroll through the pictures.  In fact, if you start seeing pictures of my food on this blog, it will most likely be because I am depressed looking at the plain black squares for my recipes, where all the other recipes have beautiful photos.

Would it be awesomer if I could access it from all my computers?  For sure.  Do I wish it could sync grocery lists to my iPhone?  You bet.  Is it better than just trying to remember URLS (or, ugh, bookmarking) for things I want to cook?  Yeah, it seems so.  Am I ready to plunk down $20?  Probably real soon now.
